0 145

Which US states google what is marijuana most? We analyzed Google Trends to determine which states are looking for marijuana the most per capita. Is the list what you imagined?

What the values mean

All data is from Google Trends for the past 12 months and for the US only. These rankings are based on the total number of Google searches performed per state, so all states have a level playing field.

The most popular US state has a value of 100, and all other states are compared with it. A value of 50 means that a state will perform half as many searches as the state with the highest score, when scaled against the total number of searches.

Special mentions

And finally, we have to mention (or it seems) the most marijuana conscious state – South Carolina. The state either seems to already know what is enough marijuana not to search for it, or it just doesn't care what it is.
