The sights sector in Sydney welcomes the announcement of CBD incentives in Sydney

Merlin Entertainments has welcomed the announcement by the New South Wales Government that every New South Wales adult will receive four US $ 25 vouchers to spend in Sydney's business district to stimulate the troubled dining and entertainment sectors, including attractions like the SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, Madame Tussauds Sydney and the WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and Sydney Tower Eye.

To help stimulate the New South Wales economy and keep businesses running, the New South Wales government launched the Out & About program to support local hospitality, arts and tourism providers across the state. The vouchers can be used at participating eligible NSW companies and venues that are registered as COVIDSafe.

The first trial of the Out and About program in Sydney's CBD will give each adult a total of $ 100 worth of vouchers that can be used separately for different businesses in the hope that more NSW residents will find the CBD as entertaining and consider entertaining and affordable option for a day trip.

Rob Smith, Executive Vice President of Merlin Entertainments Group, said, “This is a welcome move to increase both the frequency and time spent on Metro Sydney at a time when the dining and entertainment sector is more so than ever needed.

“Sydney has so much to offer and it is fantastic to see that there is support along the way to revitalize the city and encourage people to join the businesses that people know and love.

“The next step is to consider increasing capacity constraints so companies can really get back to business and do what they do best. We can't wait to welcome visitors from all over NSW to our attractions. Many exciting new activities are planned for the upcoming school holidays and will be announced shortly. "

The Out & About program will be rolled out nationwide from the end of January 2021
