Review: Taste Buds Sour Green Slapple Gummies by Daze Off
While I’ve been lucky enough to sample all the smokable product lines Daze Off offers, I’ve yet to try the brand’s Taste Buds gummies until now. I recently discovered Daze Off Sour Green Slapple gummies at nuEra Champaign and picked up a bag to review
Daze Off Taste Buds Sour Green Slapple Gummies come as a 10-pack of gummies with 10mg of THC per piece and a total of 100mg per bag. The ingredients are corn syrup, sugar, pectin, citric acid, natural flavors, sodium citrate, cannabis oil and fruit, and vegetable juice.
Quarter-sized circles roughly a half-inch thick, these gummies carried a bright semi-translucent electric green color and a very light surface coating of tiny sugar crystals. There was moisture at the surface and an easy chew with little resistance that translated into a juicy mouthfeel.
The heavy tangy artificial-green-apple note dominated as soon as I opened the bag, hitting my nose with a sour kick. That note maintained its strength from nose to palate with the same tangy punch (and a legitimately sour top note) holding through the entire experience. The finish did carry a hint of bitterness, but the strong green apple candy that clung to the tongue outlasted the bitterness.
The Daze Off distillate infusion landed at the center of the spectrum with a hybrid buzz that kept my energy levels stable but made my awareness hazy and my train of thought hard to follow. The physical portion was heavier than the mental hit with a warming sensation spreading outward from my core and peaking with strong waves of alternating tingling and pressure. The center spectrum effects made these gummies a good fit for any time of day.
