Review: Flurry by One Day

29

With its first set of releases, One Day has dropped a MAC offspring in the form of Flurry. I recently stopped into Stash Orland Hills and picked up an eighth to review.

Flurry is a hybrid cross of MAC and Slurricane # 23. This batch of flower tested at 0.3% Delta 9 THC and 27.39% THCa.

Pointed with delicate thin-orange hairs preserved by the light-surface trim. The uniform grass green coloring was further brightened by the large milky individually visible trichomes. A gentle squeeze revealed a spongy texture with a quick and lively bounce back. Even fluffier in the grinder after broken down, Flurry left a light stickiness on my fingers.

A sweet top end carrying a distinct marshmallow note hit my nose when cracking the jar. This sweetness quickly turned pungent with notes of gas, cooked oregano, and bell pepper, providing  an earthy and woodsy fresh-cut cedar coming in to close out the aroma. The sweet note at the front end was completely covered by the pungent and rich gas and green bell pepper on the palate, with both notes sticking around for a while post exhale.

Flurry was more energetic than anticipated on the come up, providing an open headspace at the front that relieved anxiety and sharpened my focus. This clear, spacious headspace became hazier as the experience passed the 30-minute mark, followed by a tightening headband and notable case of the munchies. The up and down headspace set Flurry apart as a unique experience.
