One of the first infused joints that caught my attention during the recent wave of drops was from Pharmacann’s P3 label when I reviewed the trio of initial releases. The brand has returned with a bigger blunt format. I stopped into Verilife Romeoville and picked up a Sour Meltdown version to sample.
The P3 Sour Meltdown Infused Blunt is a 2-gram blunt rolled with Meltdown, a hybrid cross of Orange Valley OG and The Cube, and infused with botanically flavored distillate. This blunt tested at 12.59% THCa and 25.89% Delta 9 THC.
Slightly shorter but slightly fatter than a standard blunt, the brown hemp paper was a match for a standard cigar with the yellow P3 branded cigar band and glass tip completing the illusion. The green flower peeking from the tip was a bright lime-green ground flower with a few orange hairs intact and visible.
As soon as I popped the top on the tube, the scent was very strong, hitting my nose with a blend of artificial sweet lemon and heavy cream reminiscent of lemon flavored cheesecake. The flavor carried that lemon cheesecake note at the outset but became much more natural and herbal as the blunt burned down. Notes of sage and roasted-lime peel eventually completely overwhelmed the entire profile.
The initial effects were surprisingly energetic, providing a euphoric tingling that spread outward from my chest and an unfocused but energetic train of thought. After this initial racy peak, an overall calm took over my mind and body for the next hour, abating some anxiety. The label on the blunt says “Pass” and there’s no question that this is best when smoked with a companion (or two).
