Review: The Bomb! High Dose Gummies by Goody Bag

1

I have a particular fascination with ratio edibles and the new single high-dose gummy trend. Goody Bag, from Progressive Treatment Solutions, has combined the concepts with the brand’s new The Bomb! line of high-dose single gummies featuring minor cannabinoids, such as CBG and THCV. I recently picked up at Consume Marion the entire product line: RSO Blue Raspberry, CBD/THCV Green Apple, and CBD/CBG Mango Pineapple.

Goody Bag The Bomb! Gummies came as single serve gummies. The RSO Blue Raspberry has 50mg of THC derived from RSO. The CBD/THCV Green Apple is distillate based with 50mg THC, 50mg of CBD, and 50mg of THCV. The CBD/CBG Mango Pineapple is distillate based with 100mg of CBD, 100mg of CBG, and 50mg of THC.

Each gummy was a large two-and-a-half inch with a two-inch GB logo in deep navy blue, bright translucent orange, and translucent lime green for the Blue Raspberry, Mango Pineapple, and Green Apple, respectively. A classic bouncy gelatin gummy, these put up considerable resistance to the tooth. The large size and dense gummy chew made for a candy that could be eaten all at once but was much more pleasant (and manageable) as a multi-bite experience.

The RSO Blue Raspberry was very sweet up front with a strong artificial blue raspberry note evoking an ICEE of the same flavor. The back end was unmistakably cannabis toned with a roasted herb flavor, revealing the RSO inside. The CBD/THCV also carried a sweet and artificial front end with a classic green apple candy flavor before transitioning to a more natural apple-flesh tone that helped to conceal the bitterness on the finish. This bitter tone was different from the Blue Raspberry with a more muted bitter note that didn’t carry as much of the roasted herb richness. The Mango Pineapple was the least direct of the flavors with a vague citrusy candied-orange flavor and the lightest bitter note on the finish of all three gummies.

The RSO Blue Raspberry was a classical indica edible providing a slow building wave of body pressure that relieved some of my chronic pain points along the way. The mental buzz built over an hour from a light buzz to a tightened awareness window that slowed my train of thought and allowed me to fall asleep quickly. The CBD/THCV Green Apple set in over an hour providing a clearheaded anxiety relief and sharpening my focus for more than 90 minutes. A lightness set into my body growing from a light floating sensation to a full euphoric and vibrating buzz fro more than an hour. The comedown brought me to a peaceful mindset that gave the entire experience a very restorative feeling. The CBD/CBG Mango Pineapple had the longest come up with the true peak of the experience not coming for at least two hours. Initially, a calm and clearheaded mindscape blossomed into a talkative, motivated, and energetic buzz. This feeling of nothing weighing me down also translated into the body as a wave of muscle relaxation and euphoria remained in place for a full two hours. The Mango Pineapple was one of the most energetic edibles I’ve had in state and reinforced my love for CBG. Overall, the entire product line is a good combination of the ratio and high dose concepts.
