Review: RS11 by PC Nursery

1

One of the real breakthrough strains of the last couple years has been RS11. Wizard Trees in California originally selected the Rainbow Sherbert pheno, but the strain has quickly spread to almost every legal state. Pharmacann’s test label, PC Nursery, recently released a run, so I stopped in at Verilife Romeoville and picked an eighth up to review.

RS11 is a hybrid cross of Pink Guava and Sunset Sherbert. This batch of flower tested at 1.16% Delta 9 THC and 18.72% THCa. Terpenes were 1.78% of the total weight with limonene, β-caryophyllene, and linalool being the heaviest.

Five popcorn nugs had been closely trimmed revealing an olive-green base coloring and a generous lattice of crisscrossing fire-orange hairs. The trichome frost hugged the surface with a solidly milky coloring. Each of the flowers was sticky to the touch with a dense structure that was difficult to break up by hand.

The aroma hit my nose as soon as I cracked the jar with a dense and layered combination of overripe banana, apple, floral tones of lavender, rose, and lilac, and tangy lemon all floating atop a heavier finishing note of creamy cookie dough. This complexity carried over to the palate with the top-end fruit tones leaning more towards overripe mango, followed by lavender and the creamy-cookie dough with the entire profile clinging to the tongue long after exhale.

RS11 set to work quickly, slowing my thoughts and quieting my mind. My body became heavier as the peak got closer with a concentrated push on eyelids and brow. RS11 was heavy enough to leave me couchlocked and dazed but not enough to put me to sleep, making it best for the evening when I could indulge in the relaxation provided.
