Review: Vegas Sparkling White Grape Gummies by Good News
While the edible market has spawned more than a few questionable cannabis/medicinal herb combinations, one compound that works well with cannabis for me is caffeine. Cresco brand Good News’ Vegas Sparkling White Grape gummies proudly proclaim its caffeine content on the front of the label, and it’s what initially piqued my interest in the edibles. I recently stopped into Sunnyside Champaign and picked up a sample to review.
Good News Vegas Sparkling White Grape Gummies come as a 10-pack of gummies with 10mg of THC per piece. The ingredients are sugar, glucose syrup, pectin, sorbitol, potassium citrate, citric acid, natural and artificial flavors, natural caffeine (derived from tea), and cannabis oil.

Ten half moons roughly an inch-and-a-half across and a third-of-an-inch thick carried a cloudy translucent-champagne color underneath a dusting of sugar crystals. The pectin heavy gummies had a classic gumdrop bite with a little bit of tooth clinging, especially near the moist center. Smaller than most gummies on the market, it was easy to multi-dose at once with three or four gummies.
The top of the flavor profile was a surprisingly accurate facsimile of a white table grape meaning it was just a quick hit of sugar and acid. This was followed by a crisp note meant to resemble champagne, but it tasted much closer to green apple. There was a distinct bitterness near the finish that stuck to the tongue, asking for the relief of another gummy’s grapey top note.
The label had no indication of how much caffeine was in these gummies, but as someone that uses quite a bit in day-to-day life, it didn’t make a noticeable difference. After 45 minutes, a strong wave of pressure started to push on my eyelids, shoulders, and chest. A smile crept over my face and an irreverent, playful mood took over my headspace. An hour in, a wave of strong munchies hit. The pressure on my shoulders and chest became increasingly heavy.
