Review: Honey Bun Hop Infused Prerolls by NGW and Half Acre
For the last couple months, I’ve been exploring the hop-infused cannabis-collaboration line from Nature’s Grace & Wellness and Chicago brewery Half Acre. This Honey Bun Hop Infused Prerolls was the final product I checked out from the collection.
Honey Bun is a hybrid cross of Gellati and Honey B, originally bred by Cookies. These Honey Bun prerolls were infused with Mosaic hops. This 6-pack of 0.5g prerolls tested at 3.2% THC, 17.23% THCa, and 20.99% total cannabinoids.

Six three-inch straight-sided hand-rolled tubes carried a paper crutch at one end and a lime-green finely milled flower at the other. The prerolls were densely packed, but the small size kept the burn from becoming unruly. I smoked them without any pre-work or corrections.
The hop-led aroma was noticeable as soon as I opened the box, and paired with a few dry pulls, provided a sharp, lively, tropical leaning blend of mango, pineapple, pine, fresh hops, mustard, and peach at the top followed by a softer blend of freshly dug soil and black pepper cutting through the tanginess. The entire profile translated almost perfectly to the palate as the tropical Mosaic hop blend of pineapple, mango, and mustard reminded me of a fresh IPA initially. Hints of black pepper were noticeable on the finish, but the hop tones were far stickier, clinging to the tongue for a long-time post exhale. Out of all three hop infused products to come out of this collaboration, the hops came through the most intensely here.
The Honey Bun prerolls hit above their weight with the half-gram smoke delivering a heavy body load of strong all-over pressure alongside a wave of pain relief. My mental space shifted to a playful slightly energetic mood and as my anxieties slipped away, a notable wave of optimism took hold. The body buzz was strong and remained in place for almost an hour after the mental shift had cleared. Overall, the prerolls delivered a densely flavored, unique experience with a high that hit above its weight class.
