Review: Strawberry Daze Live Budder by Superflux
When I sampled Strawberry Bubbles by The Botanist in October of last year, I wrote about the lack of strawberry flavors on the Illinois market. I’m happy to say that I’ve had the chance to sample more than a handful of strawberry-leaning products since, including today’s review, Strawberry Daze Live Budder by Superflux. I recently stopped into Nature’s Care Co. in Rolling Meadows and picked up a half gram to review.
Strawberry Daze is a hybrid cross of Crockett’s Haze and Strawnana Juice. This batch of live resin tested at 0.2% CBDa, 4.64% THC, 77.63% THCa, and 85.12% total cannabinoids. Labeled terpenes were β-myrcene at 3.14%, ocimene at 2.96%, and β-caryophyllene at 1.78% of the total weight.

This half-gram of live-resin budder came as a thin bright-yellow layer spread smoothly across the bottom of the jar. A terp-heavy badder, the consistency was closer to Elmer’s glue than room temperature butter.
The front of the aromatic profile was very sweet with notes of cooking strawberry jam, black currant, cherry blossom, and pomelo followed by a blend of soap, thyme, and musk pushing against each other to create a rounded finish. The flavor carried the same cooking strawberry jam and black currant notes at the top. The exhale was dominated by the competing soap and musk, creating a one-two punch of sweet followed by savory.
Strawberry Daze was a highly cerebral experience that opened with a slightly closed aperture of awareness before building towards a detached but highly introspective headspace that lasted for more than half an hour. After this dazed peak Strawberry Daze left me calm and notably positive for the following couple of hours.
Physically there was some light-euphoric tingling moving throughout my body for the duration of the experience, but Strawberry Daze was much more mental than physical overall. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
