Cobra Milk by Interstate 420 – Illinois News Joint
NuEra recently took home the 2023 Cannabis Cup for Cobra Milk, so I jumped at the chance to sample the strain when I found it under the company’s Interstate 420 brand. I stopped into nuEra Champaign and picked up an eighth to review.
Cobra Milk is an indica leaning hybrid cross of Jealousy and Cereal Milk. This batch of flower tested at 0.424% CBGa, 0.458% THC, 19.36% THCa, and 20.242% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 1.16% of the total weight with β-caryophyllene, β-myrcene, limonene, and α-humulene being the heaviest.

A small handful of loosely trimmed popcorn buds carried a deep forest green color that was almost entirely obscured by deep royal purple sugar leaf pieces and a frosty coating of milky trichomes. The buds were dry in the hand but left a considerable hashy greasiness on my fingers when being broken down.
A complex savory blend of black pepper, hot rubber, fresh mint, and lime floated atop a rich sweet cream undertone that unified the wide range of scents. The smoke was smooth, and even large pulls created a smooth hit with a rounded mouthfeel. On the palate the black pepper and lime were the first flavors to appear followed by a creamy caramel tone at the finish.
Cobra Milk hit very quickly, inducing a tight pressure in my crown and core before the end of my bowl. A mental and perceptual haze followed closely behind, relaxing me and releasing the worries of the day while simultaneously destroying my focus and leaving me spaced out for the better part of forty-five minutes. The tight physical pressure slowly evolved into a warm floating sensation that compounded the relaxing mental effects. Overall, Cobra Milk was best fit for the end of the day.
