The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today released its July medical cannabis sales totals. July totals of $23,351,249.87 were the second-lowest monthly sales total since Illinois legalized recreational cannabis (January 2020). Only June 2024 (the previous month) medical cannabis sales totals of $23,105,926.95 were lower.
In July, Illinois dispensaries sold 11,151,118.24 in dry flower sales and $12,400,131.63 in concentrates/infused products. Licensed medical cannabis dispensaries served 61,066 unique patients, who purchased 1,294,650 grams of dry cannabis. Total retail sales since November 2015 by licensed medical cannabis dispensaries reached $219,974,409.95. Total retail sales for 2024 reached $170,617,973.63. Total 2024 wholesale sales by cultivation centers reached $$219,974,409.95, and total wholesale sales since November 2015 by cultivation centers totaled $3,697,827,191.27.
