Review: Blockberry (aka Superboof) by NEZ
One benefit with new labels coming online is that consumers now get to try the cultivator’s unique approach to genetics. Even small adjustments to a grow environment can change the resulting plant dramatically. Craft brand NEZ recently released a run of Blockberry (aka Superboof), a strain I’ve sampled from several cultivators across several states, so I picked up a gram to review.
Blockberry (aka Superboo)f is a hybrid cross of Black Cherry Punch and Tropicana Cookies. This batch of flower tested at 0.04% CBDa, 0.868% THC, 28.64% THCa, and 29.548% total cannabinoids. The indicated terpenes were β-caryophyllene, limonene, and linalool.

One pointed flower made up the gram. Varying shades of pine and purple acted as highlights against a turf green background. The exterior of the nug was kissed with milky trichomes, and the interior left a grassy sensation on my fingers after handling.
The aroma was noticeable as soon as the seal broke with a top-end blend of tangy chemical and gas notes paired with hot-earthy funk. The profile then turned much sweeter. Orange peel and floral rose petal notes provided a softer finish. The flavor was even stronger than the aroma. The chemical and orange-peel tones worked together to evoke a strong orange liqueur taste at the front while more savory notes of peanut oil and aged oak appeared on the exhale.
Superboof instantly cleared my head of stress, allowing me to focus on the task at hand. A small burst of energy hit at the top of experience but was quickly tapered back down to normalcy by a heavier-than-anticipated body buzz. Starting as a light pressure at the top of my head, this quickly became an all over feeling of heaviness that left me tired on the back end of the high. Despite the back-end heaviness, Superboof allowed me to remain clear headed, focused, and stress free for a couple hours post smoke.
