Review: Cookie Got Creamed White Chocolate Cups by SweetBuzz
SweetBuzz has not been afraid to approach classic flavors and styles with the brand’s candy line. These Cookie Got Creamed cups I recently picked up for review harkens back to the classic cookies and cream bars I loved as a kid. News Joint Events is set to host SweetBuzz as one of two-dozen craft brands offering samples at the Illinois Craft Showcase from 12-7 p.m. Sept. 7 at Molly’s Joint.
SweetBuzz Cookie Got Creamed White Chocolate Cups come as a 10-pack of chocolates with 10mg of THC per piece. The individually wrapped candies, the same size and shape as classic fun-sized chocolate cups (ridged edges and all), were white with chunks of black cookie distributed generously throughout. The white chocolate had a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth texture with a slight fudginess to the bite.
The rough-cut pieces of chocolate cookie added variety and crunch to the mouthfeel. The flavor harkened back to the Hershey’s cookies and cream bars I enjoyed as a kid but with a much more deep and natural chocolate note to the cookie pieces and a far creamier texture. The cannabis infusion could not be indicated, and these could have passed for a high-quality handmade confection.
A calming headspace took over from my high-strung base state, wiping away anxiety and leaving me playful and talkative by the half-hour peak. The body buzz was closer to a smoking than body buzz, concentrated in my brow and crown and as a tightening pressure. My energy levels remained steady, and I enjoyed these anytime of day without issue. Overall, the high quality candy is enough to keep me coming back, making the consistent-anytime effects an additional treat.
