Review: Dosi Kush by CAM
Certain strain names are known the world over, and few are as well known as “Kush.” I love the old school savory flavors the classic cultivar can provide, and I’m always ready to try the next offspring. New Illinois label, CAM, just released Dosi Kush. Intrigued, I picked up a sample from Verilife Romeoville to review.
Dosi Kush is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Dosidos and OG Kush. This batch of flower tested at 1.97% Delta 9 THC and 26.22% THCa. Terpenes were 1.75% of the total weight with β-caryophyllene, β-myrcene, and α-humulene.
Dense, tightly dried nugs carried dark colors of forest green and deep-royal purple beneath a solidly milky-trichome frost. Fire-orange hairs reached out from the flower surface in clumps from beneath sugar leaf remnants. The density took some real work to tease apart to get into a grinder, and they left a stickiness on my fingers.
The aroma inside the jar was a rich and savory blend of garlic, scallion, and dark chocolate, with a heavy earthy wet moss tone providing the finish. Despite the savory nose, the flavor led with sweet tones of candied berries and lavender. The earth-wet moss also became lighter, morphing into a fresh rain petrichor that helped to lighten the taste experience.
Dosi Kush was labeled indica, with the parents to prove it, but the experience struck me more as a center spectrum hybrid. My energy levels were steady as a calm but sociable and talkative mindset took hold ten minutes post smoke. My chronic back pain disappeared as a full body muscle relaxation overcame me following the sociable mindset. Both mental and physical effects were lasting staying with me well past the 90-minutes mark. Overall, Dosi Kush was a flavorful and extremely functional flower.
