Review: Skywalker OG Prerolls by Aerīz

While I’m a huge fan of huge joints, there are times when a big one is too much. I appreciate the flexibility of Aerīz’s two-pack of half-gram prerolls. They’re just the right size for a quick personal sesh. I recently picked up to review the Skywalker OG two-pack.

Skywalker OG is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of Mazar and Blueberry OG. These prerolls tested at 0.67% THC, and 25.94% THCa.

Two small cones, each just over two inches, half of the length being an Aerīz branded crutch were packed back-to-back in the tube. The flower inside was a notably dark forest green throughout. Tightly rolled, both joints required some extensive pre-work to loosen up the flower and even out the burn.

Inside the tube the joints emanated a spicy herbal blend of cinnamon, jalapeno flesh, cumin, oregano, thyme, and freshly turned earth. The flavor was even more complex, unlocking more herbal notes of nutmeg, cardamom, and earthy notes of mushroom and wet moss in addition to the layered natural blend from the aroma. The flavor was very sticky, clinging to the palate and leaving an herbal aftertaste that remained long after the joint was finished. Both the aroma and flavor were very classical, reminding me of older, earthier unnamed cultivars I started smoking more than 15 years ago.

Skywalker OG induced a strong brow pressure and weighted sensation in my chest and arms almost immediately. By the end of the half-gram joint, my energy levels had started to fall, leaving me tired with a hazy but relaxed headspace by the 15-minute mark. A strong wave of hunger followed the onset of the haziness, leading to some less than stellar nutritional decisions. Overall, Skywalker OG delivered classical flavors and strong stoning effects making it a good fit as an end of day smoke.
