Review: Sour Pink Grapefruit Live Resin Vape Cart by Cresco
While I’ve grown fond of funkier, earthier terpene profiles, citrus-heavy sativas will always have a special place in my heart. That’s why Cresco’s Sour Pink Grapefruit Live Resin Vape Cart caught my attention when I sampled it at Keefy Cannafest. I decided to pick up a full cart to give the strain a full review.
Sour Pink Grapefruit is a sativa-leaning hybrid, a cross between Sweet Pink Grapefruit and East Coast Sour Diesel. This cart tested at 70.77% THC, with an equal percentage of total cannabinoids.
Cresco’s carts feature a classic metal coil and glass-tank design, but they stand out with unique branding—each cart sports a branded tank, a colored band that indicates the strain type (sativa, hybrid, or indica), and a clear plastic mouthpiece. The live resin in this cart had a deep amber hue, almost brown, with a thick, slow-moving viscosity, even at higher temperatures. Upon opening, there was a noticeable bubble of headspace, indicating the heavy density of the oil. The flavor profile remained consistent throughout, although toward the last quarter of the tank, a faint “hot” metallic taste emerged.

Despite the dark color, the flavor was bright and vibrant, offering a blend of fresh grapefruit, sweet lemon candy, diesel, and a touch of vinegar on the inhale. On the back end, hints of cinnamon, pine, cedar, and dried herbs, such as thyme and parsley, balanced out the sweetness, creating a warm-herbal finish. The cinnamon and cedar lingered on the palate post-exhale, leaving a pleasant aftertaste.
Sour Pink Grapefruit’s effects were almost immediate, making it a good choice for quick relief from anxiety. The vape delivered a strong pressure to the brow and crown, opening my mental space while gradually boosting my energy levels. As the effects peaked, I found myself feeling uplifted and sociable, with a noticeable increase in talkativeness. Eventually, the initial heavy pressure gave way to waves of tingling euphoria, complementing the bright mental high with an uplifting physical sensation.
