Review: The Biz #1 Blunt by Stoner Village
Since Legacy became an independently operated license, the brand has spun off or helped to stand up a long and expanding list of new labels. Stoner Village was one of the first spinoffs, but I hadn’t had the chance to review the brand until I recently picked up The Biz #1 Blunt.
The Biz is a hybrid cross of Red Runtz and Biscotti. This 2g blunt tested at 1.2% THC, 21.41% THCa, and 22.82% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 2.2% of the total weight with limonene, linalool, β-myrcene, and β-caryophyllene being indicated as the heaviest.
At just under 4-and-a-half inches from glass tip to flower, this was the longest blunt I’ve seen so far on the legalized market. A plain chocolate-brown paper had been rolled to a perfect cylinder and joined to a plain glass mouthpiece with a plain glossy-black cigar band, giving the entire blunt a generic but classic visual appearance. A chunky, M&M-sized bud acted as a cap for the flower end, holding in the more finely ground turf-green fill. The blunt required some extra attention and technique to keep an even burn.
The aroma inside the tube was dominated by the hemp paper with notes of black tea, drying cedarwood, black pepper, and hot cinnamon being the heaviest tones with light hints of candied berry, cream, and fresh-turned earth revealed on a dry pull. The flavor carried more of the same with only light hints of sweet-cream and mushroom-earth tones acting as accents to a much richer undertone of cedar, black pepper, and cinnamon.
A tight band of pressure wrapped around my head and eyebrows as my headspace calmed and my energy levels started to fall quickly. A hazy awareness window paired with the tired mental and physical buzz left me unmotivated and ready to relax on the couch. As the experience closed a warming wave of muscle relaxation and a case of the munchies set in, further driving home the indica-buzz sensation.
