Review: Tropic Thunder Disposable Vape by Doctor C
The Doctor C brand first captured my attention with a line of 100mg single serve gummies and is sticking with the large single-dose approach in the vape category as well. I recently picked up a Doc. C Good Vibes Tropic Thunder Disposable 1-gram vape to review.
Doc. C Tropic Thunder disposable vape is filled with a distillate-based oil infused with cannabis derived terpenes. This vape tested at 0.38% CBD, 70.82% THC, and 71.2% total cannabinoids.
The all-in-one system sat comfortably in the palm at just under two-and-a-half-inches tall, less than an inch wide, and less than a half-inch thick. The tapered hard-plastic mouthpiece topped a large visibility tank with a metal coil in the center and a soft-touch black-plastic battery branded with a large Good Vibes logo. The bottom carried a small USB charge port and an indicator light that glowed white when hit. The transparent pale-straw oil had a low viscosity, flowing easily even at room temperature. There were no settings or buttons and a simple hit-to-activate mechanism.
The flavor was light with a blend of hot diesel and unripe sour-grape notes adding some tang to the profile. The vape produced solid hits with a thick mouthfeel, but the flavor and resulting odor was almost undetectable making the Doc C disposable a good choice for the discrete consumer.
The effects set in after 10 minutes with a warming muscle relaxation cascading down from my crown into my body, becoming a stronger weightless sensation at the peak of the high. A fogginess covered my awareness, closing me off from the world and sapping my ability to focus. This fogginess was short lived, leaving a wave of calm behind. The muscle relaxation remained consistent making the Tropic Thunder a surprisingly good choice as a preworkout. Overall, the Doc. C vape paired a solid hardware experience with an extremely discrete flavor profile and an effect that hits above its weight class.
